“Why You Can’t Lose Weight? AND HOW TO FIX IT” – Monica May
Can’t lose weight, no matter what you do?!

Welcome to the failed diets club (just kidding, there is no such club)
It’s a fact that weight loss can be so damn hard sometimes (*well, more like most of the time😅)
And it can get so overwhelming, especially if you are not seeing results.
However, the good news is there’s always a reason why this is happening, and today we’re going through all of them.
Let’s jump into them right away!
Pssst… I just wanted to let you know, that you DON’T HAVE TO lose weight.
You are beautiful, fierce, and enough, just the way you are!
You don’t have to do anything to “fit in” those society standards of beauty.
You are already so beautiful, flaws and all – ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT💕
Why You Can’t Lose Weight?
#1: You are snacking unhealthy sncks🍿
Snacking is a completely healthy habit and it can help you lose weight.
I talked about this in my latest article Lose Weight Without Dieting (in 5 simple steps).
However, snacking on unhealthy foods on a daily basis can be the reason why you are having a hard time to lose weight.
The fix: Snack on healthy foods only. Check out my 20 Easy Healthy Snack Ideas.
#2: You think you are eating healthy🍜
(but you are not)
Eating healthy can be SO tricky.
Thanks to the food industry that wants us to think we’re eating healthy, even when we’re not.
So if that’s the case, don’t worry, I got you.
Answer these few questions for me:
Do you eat cereals for breakfast?
Do you eat energy bars?
What about fried foods?
Don’t eat salads on a daily basis?
Don’t eat raw foods?
Do you often eat in restaurants?
If at least one of these questions is yes, you are not eating as healthy as you may think you are.
And it’s really not your fault.
It so freaking easy to make a mistake when trying to eat healthier.

#3: You are on a diet 😶
Most diets don’t work.
Diets can help you lose weight at first, but you’ll gain it back faster than ever once you finish the diet.
That’s because most diets are not sustainable.
Instead of teaching you how to fall in love with healthy food, and how to eat healthy long term, they are just aiming for quick results.
I’m not saying they won’t provide you with any results, however, once you finish the diet it’s all gone.
The fix: Instead of restricting yourself, just make sure to focus on eating healthy foods. Check out my meal plan.
#4: You are binge eating 🍨
Most girls I work with struggle with binge eating.
Binge eating is actually the #1 reason why many women can’t lose weight.
They will eat healthy all day, and then at the end of it they tend to binge a little.
And that’s okay, we all have days when we are eating because we are craving something, or due to stress or emotional eating.
But, if you’re doing it on a daily basis, it can be the reason why you are not losing weight.
The fix: Keeping a food diary can be helpful. You’ll write everything you eat in the day, so when you get back to it, you’ll see where you did wrong.

#5: You are drinking your calories 🍸
Liquid calories are the worst.
They contain calories that cannot get you full, in fact they can make you even more hungry.
From sodas, to energy drinks, sugary drinks, sugary coffee and of course alcohol.
You can eat healthy as much as you want, but if you are consuming high calorie drinks, you may have trouble losing weight.
The fix: There is no easy fix for this one other than reducing the consumption of these drinks.
#6: You are not being active 💪
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve said it many times: You CAN lose weight without exercising.
However, being active helps a lot in the whole weight loss process.
Especially strength training and interval training.
Exercising and working out will lead to amazing results.
And it doesn’t even have to take too much of your time – a 30 minute workout a day will be totally enough.

#7: You’re Not Considering The Time Factor ⌛
Weight loss can’t happen overnight – you haven’t gained it in a few weeks, so you can’t expect to lose it in a few weeks too.
It takes time, commitment, and hard work.
From my own experience, when you start eating healthy and exercise it takes at least 4 weeks for you to notice the first change, not to mention reaching your body goals – probably months to a year.
The fix: Just be patient and stay motivated!
#8: Medical Condition ❤️🩹
If you are doing everything right but you are still not losing weight, then you might want to explore medical issues.
I’ve been working with so many girls that can’t lose weight because of problems with the thyroid.
And yes, certain hormonal conditions, such as PCOS or hypothyroidism can really affect weight gain.
Another medical reason may be retaining water weight, bloating, and IBS.
The fix: Exclude genuine health problems that require medical treatment first.
